Cogioba Roundtable

Roundtable Meetings are for all Boy and Cub Scout Leaders and are held on a monthly basis from 7 - 8 pm on the 1st Thursday of every month at First Church of the Nazarene, 150 Richview Road, Clarksville TN 37043.

This is a list of potential unit service or Eagle projects in the Cogioba District.  Scouts are reminded that written project proposals, approvals, and all required signatures must be obtained before beginning the actual work on an Eagle project.

PROJECT 1:
RED RIVER OUTFALL MAPPING-
EQUIPMENT INVOLVED: Boat, GPS, Camera, Paint.
SCOPE OF PROJECT: The Scout would be mapping outfalls for the Montgomery County Storm Water Program as directed by TDEC and the EPA.
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR THE PROJECT: Potentially up to 1 year but could be broken down further by working with the Champion.

PASSENGER CREEK OUTFALL MAPPING-
EQUIPMENT INVOLVED: GPS, Camera, Paint.
SCOPE OF PROJECT: The Scout would be mapping outfalls for the Montgomery County Storm Water Program as directed by TDEC and the EPA.
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR THE PROJECT: At least 6 months or more.

STREAM CLEAN UP PROJECTS
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT(s): The Scout would coordinate with the appropriate watershed for clean up of local streams in the City and County Wide.
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR THE PROJECT: Cleanup would vary depending on the severity.

BUILD A PATIO FOR FIRST CHURCH OF NAZARENE YOUTH CENTER
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The Scout would coordinate installing an outside Patio needed for the new EPICENTER YOUTH BUILDING for the 1st Church of the Nazarene located at 150 Richview RD, Clarksville, TN 37043
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR THE PROJECT: 3-6 Months of coordination and installation.

BUILD OVERHEAD COVERS FOR PATIO AT FIRST CHURCH OF NAZARENE YOUTH CENTER
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The Scout would be working with the project sponsor(s) to install appropriate overhead covers needed for the Outdoor Patio at the new EPICENTER YOUTH BUILDING for the 1st Church of the Nazarene located at 150 Richview Rd, Clarksville, TN 37043
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR THE PROJECT: 3-6 Months of coordination and installation.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The Scout would be working with the project sponsor(s) to build and install Picnic tables and a Fire Pit needed for the Outdoor Patio at the new EPICENTER YOUTH BUILDING for the 1st Church of the Nazarene located at 150 Richview Rd, Clarksville, TN 37043
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR THE PROJECT: 3-6 Months of coordination and installation.

CLARKSVILLE GREENWAY WILDFLOWER GARDENS
SCOPE OF PROJECT: Plant Wildfire Gardens along Trailway off the Clarksville Greenway. This would also involve placing markers for the selected Wildflower areas.
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD OF THE PROJECT: 3 Months.

SPECIES CONTROL (90 acre area)
SCOPE OF PROJECT: Work with City Forrester to coordinate clearing of undesirable species within areas of the 90 acre forest owned by the City of Clarksville.
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD OF THE PROJECT: 4-6 Months.

Heritage Park Dog Park Area Clearing & Reforestation
SCOPE OF PROJECT: Work with City Forrester to coordinate clearing of undesirable species at the area between Heritage Park and the Dog Park area and to replant Dogwoods needed for the area along with current Trees already in Storage.
ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD OF THE PROJECT: 3 Months.

Heritage Park Dog Park Area Shade Structures

BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION (90 Acre area)
SCOPE OF PROJECT: Work with City Forrester and the Parks and Recreation Department to build Timber bridges within the 90 Acre area to allow ease of access for current and future use by the public.
